QUICK & EASY SCREEN CHANGE
Re-Size On The Fly!
Here's how to make it fast and simple to change your screen display!
(Warning: This tip works on most, but not all systems, especially older systems.)
1 Right-click an empty area on your Desktop
2 Select Properties from the menu that appears.
3 At Display Properties box, click the Settings tab, then
the Advanced button.
4 On the General page, check mark "Show settings icon
on task bar."
5 Under "After I change color settings:" choose either the
"Apply without restart" or "Ask before applying" option,
then click OK.
6 Click OK again to finish.
You will now notice the Display Properties icon in your system tray. (bottom right on task bar)
Now, to quickly change screen settings, click once on this icon and select one of these three display settings:
640 x 480 pixels High Color (16 bit)
800 x 600 pixels High Color (16 bit)
1024 x 768 pixels High Color (16 bit)
Note: When changing from high to low resolution, should you find that your scroll bar or window buttons are now off screen and inaccessible, don't panic! Double-click the blue title bar to resize the window to fit the screen, or click the blue title bar and drag the window to bring the scroll bar and buttons into view.
Stick with (16 bit) colors. For best internet viewing, since most web pages are designed for the 800 x 640 view, select 800 x 640. To get more of a web page on one screen, choose 1024 x 768 pixels.
