INSTALLING T-lll ON THE XP SYSTEM

Buy a new computer recently? Chances are your operating system is Windows XP. As of this writing, Interealty does not support XP and will not provide assistance! But, you CAN run T-lll 3.5c on an XP system. You must install as a "two-step" procedure. Meaning connect to the cris server first, then log in Workstation. Follow these steps to correctly install T-lll...

1 Place T-lll 3.5c setup disk (orange) in CD-ROM, wait for auto-start.
2 Checkmark Workstation option, click Install
3 Now, at T-lll Startup, click only the Install T-lll button! Continue on to T-lll Setup Options
4 Choose Realtor Workstation and the maps you need, then click Install

When T-lll has been installed, create a Direct Dialup…

1 Click Start | Control Panel
2 Click Network and Internet Connections
3 Click Set up or change your Internet connection
4 Click Connections tab, then click Add button
5 Click Dial-up to private network, then click Next
6 Enter "2709493" in Phone number:, then click Next
7 Enter "cris" in name for connection:, then click Finish
8 Enter "cris" in User name:, type "demo" in Password: type "crismls.com" in Domain:, then click Properties
9 Enter Area Code 330, checkmark Use dialing rules then click Dialing Rules button
10 Click New button and...

create area code location with dialing rules for Youngstown

11 Type Youngstown in Name and 330 in Area Code

12 Click Area Code Rules tab, click New
13 Enter area code 330, then under Prefixes select Include all prefixes within this area code

under Rules, click the area code

Click OK, then OK again

Under Locations, select Youngstown, click OK to return to Properties

11 Click OK to return to cris Settings
12 Click OK to return to Internet Properties
13 At Desktop, click Start | Program Files | T-lll Real Estate Systems | T-lll Config, click Advanced button
14 Server Name: should read cris1.interealty.com, Dial-up entry: should read [none] click OK, and OK again to return to Desktop

The reason for choosing [none] here is because in XP you must make a manual connection to cris first, then open/ log in to T-lll REALTOR WORKSTATION

Last step, create shortcut icon...

16 At Desktop, click Start | Control Panel | Network and Internet Connections
17 Below "or pick a Control Panel icon" click Network Connections
18 Right-click cris Dialup icon, choose Send To, then "Desktop As Shortcut Icon"

QUICK & EASY SCREEN CHANGE

Re-Size On The Fly!

Here's how to make it fast and simple to change your screen display!
(Warning: This tip works on most, but not all systems, especially older systems.)

1 Right-click an empty area on your Desktop
2 Select Properties from the menu that appears.
3 At Display Properties box, click the Settings tab, then the Advanced button.
4 On the General page, check mark "Show settings icon on task bar."
5 Under "After I change color settings:" choose either the "Apply without restart" or "Ask before applying" option, then click OK.
6 Click OK again to finish.

You will now notice the Display Properties icon in your system tray. (bottom right on task bar)

Now, to quickly change screen settings, click once on this icon and select one of these three display settings:

    640 x 480 pixels High Color (16 bit)
    800 x 600 pixels High Color (16 bit)
    1024 x 768 pixels High Color (16 bit)

Note: When changing from high to low resolution, should you find that your scroll bar or window buttons are now off screen and inaccessible, don't panic! Double-click the blue title bar to resize the window to fit the screen, or click the blue title bar and drag the window to bring the scroll bar and buttons into view.

Stick with (16 bit) colors. For best internet viewing, since most web pages are designed for the 800 x 640 view, select 800 x 640. To get more of a web page on one screen, choose 1024 x 768 pixels.
